hi, does the "default angstrom kernel(2.6.32)" got a built in command line? i was trying to change the resolution but my boot.scr scripts are somehow ignored(i used some of the default scripts, so i guess its not about the scripts being corrupt but being ignored). i couldnt find the used cmdline in config.gz though, so i wonder where it is declared at. any help?
- [08:23:05] <marco_>
blablabl, i didn't understand your question. you like to change the resolution of the system running on beagleboard?

- [08:23:21] <marco_>
for that you would have to change the command line arguments passed to linux by u-boot
- [08:25:24] <blablabl>
i got my beagleboard with the angstrom demo image(xm), its running at 640x480(as written in the passed commanline /proc/cmdline). i want to change it to 1280x720
- [08:25:50] <marco_>
blablabl, so use a serial cable to change the u-boot environment
- [08:26:20] <blablabl>
i'm using xm(sorry, mentionned too late), i thought this is not possible anymore
- [08:26:35] <marco_>
what boot loader do you use?
- [08:26:56] <blablabl>
i use the default uboot.bin provided from the angstrom demo page

while decoding mpeg2 video using gst-ti and the DSP, the MPU is about at 40% of sys CPU usage
- [19:09:40] <jooe>
with an IGEPv2 with the same software, this is only ~ 7% of sys cpu
- [19:09:41] <prpplague>
koen: hmm, seeing zippy but not zippy2 support, still digging
- [19:12:49] <joelagnel>
koen, I'm passing camera=lbcm3m1 , still seeing error at http://pastebin.com/se0tAdZb, can you point me to that patch?
- [19:13:02] <joelagnel>
or possible suggest some keywords to look for on the list
- [19:13:11] <joelagnel>
*possibly
- [19:14:24] <koen>
joelagnel: don't pass that unless you have the 3m hooked up and configured
- [19:14:34] <joelagnel>
koen, I have 3m

*sysfs

joelagnel: don't set camera= in uboot :)
- [19:47:50] <joelagnel>
koen, I tried not setting camera= as well with the 3m camera :)
- [19:48:14] <koen>
joelagnel: working on the c5 release?
- [19:49:11] <joelagnel>
koen, I'm using the latest 2.6.39 kernel from OE
- [19:49:34] <joelagnel>
did you mean on a separate note? Gerald is work on the c5 release, I will work on it tomorrow morning
- [19:52:33] <joelagnel>
currently I get an "omap3isp: Failed to power on" in dmesg . No camera= , narcissus image is from June 16 . Camera module is 3m
- [19:53:40] <koen>
joelagnel: and a fresh OE build?
- [19:55:04] <joelagnel>
koen, fresh as in? I do a `bitbake -clean virtual/kernel`
- [19:55:48] <koen>
fresh as in
- [19:55:50] <koen>
git pull
- [19:55:52] <koen>
build
- [19:56:06] <koen>
since you're narcissus is already a week old
- [19:56:37] <joelagnel>
koen, uhm, not I haven't. Any recent camera related patches I missed?
- [19:56:46] <joelagnel>
ok I guess I did, don't answer that
- [19:57:39] <joelagnel>
koen, thanks.
- [19:57:52] <koen>
not that I recall, but it always pays of to work on the latest
- [19:59:11] <joelagnel>
koen, one more question- /dev/video* is create by omap3isp as show in sysfs, so which dev nodes would the mt9p031 driver create?
- [20:01:00] <koen>
the same, it's exposed thru the isp
- [20:01:05] <joelagnel>
Those nodes exist even without a camera plugged in
- [20:01:44] <koen>
yes, since the isp exists without a camera
- [20:02:42] <joelagnel>
