hi all
- [00:58:22] <KCKid>
just fot a BeagleBoar xM and wondering what is a suggested touchscreen LCD - does it require a daughter board etc?
- [01:01:47] <KCKid>
sakoman_: ping
- [01:08:03] <tmzt>
mostly needs a level convertor for the video signals, according to some wikis I was reading
- [01:12:51] <KCKid>
yeah from 1.8 to 3.5 I think
- [01:13:40] <KCKid>
I see some usb touchscreens from Mimo but don't see any references to them on Beagleboard anything/where
- [01:14:25] <KCKid>
I also see a project listed in the contests but don't know of the current status of it
- [01:36:09] <tmzt>
if the digitizer part is usb it should work fine assuming there is a driver for linux
- [01:36:38] <tmzt>
if you mean something displaylink is used for video that should work too, there are framebuffer drivers, but they required extra work in userspace

what are the reference boards available for omap4460
- [11:35:04] <av500>
i guees you can get a 4460 blaze
- [11:35:08] <av500>
guess
- [11:35:11] <mru>
would be nice with a panda
- [11:35:28] <tobi>
The transceiver is powered from the 3.3V rail and is active at power up. This allows the
- [11:35:28] <tobi>
port to be used for UART based peripheral booting over the port.
- [11:35:40] <av500>
i guess they throw in a free panda as well if you buy it :)
- [11:35:59] <tobi>
Does that mean that it has 3.3V levels? Then how is it possible to directly connect the rs232 to a PC ?

but you could "lose" it

that supports csi interface only

then you'd get a new one *and* and the $100

Hi,
- [13:48:34] <hrishikesh>
Hi, I want to connect a ultrasonic sensor (LV MaxSonar EZ1) to my BB. I have connected the sensor output to pin 23 of the expansion header. I have also supplied +5V to pin2, while pin 27 and 28 of the expansion header are grounded. I tried using i2cdetect to detect the sensor, but it didn't detect the sensor. What am I missing?
- [13:49:05] <hrishikesh>
by the way, it's a BB xM C.

the documentation of BB says that pin 2 of the expansion header has to be given an input of +5V.
- [13:56:08] <hrishikesh>
the documentation also says that pin 1 of the expansion header is "VIO 1V8". Does this mean that I need to supply 1.8V to pin 1 of the expansion header?
- [13:57:03] <av500>
no
- [13:57:56] <hrishikesh>
then where must I give 1.8V input to i2c? how do I go about connecting the sensor to i2c?
