BeagleBoard.org® Members Elected to Board of Open Source Hardware Association

BeagleBoard.org® is proud to announce two of our board members have been elected as OSHWA board members!  Both Jason Kridner and Drew Fustini will be joining the 2018-2020 board.

The Open Source Hardware Association (OSHWA) is a non-profit organization that has the objective to “foster technological knowledge and encourage research that is accessible, collaborative and respects user freedom. OSHWA’s primary activities include hosting the annual Open Hardware Summit and maintaining the Open Source Hardware certification, which allows the community to quickly identify and represent hardware that complies with the community definition of open source hardware.”

In addition to organizing conferences and community events, OSHWA works to educate the general public about open source hardware and its socially beneficial uses.  By collecting, compiling and publishing data on the Open Source Hardware movement, they promote “ a painless way for creators to indicate that their products meet a standard for open-source compliance.”

BeagleBoard.org® has been an OSHWA sponsor for many years.  Congrats to Jason and Drew!
